What is small and feathery?

I got my first chicks!  I now am the proud parent to four small fluffy future egg layers.  I got them from a feed store in Kaneohe after work, totally worth the drive.  Two ameraucanas and two barred plymouth rocks are the first of hopefully many that will inhabit my yard.  I can't believe that it actually happened after years of dreaming about them, they are here and now comes the hard part of keeping them alive.  Is it a little weird that I have names already?  They are:  Camille, Agnes, Annalise, and Pearl.  The ladies snuggled down and warm in their temporary brooding box.  I am constantly checking to make sure that the box isn't too warm or too cold.. worry worry.   Rosey and Khan, my two bullmastiffs haven't been allowed in the house yet, I know at some point they will have to meet the chicks, but I am pretty sure a more delicious bullmastiff snack  could not exsist!

With these new girls actually here, I am hoping it will give me a big push to get going and finish their coop.   This weekend hopefully will be productive, and I will at least get it framed and maybe finish the outer hardware cloth the next.
